Another bite identification question!

I have a single small bite, presumably, on my upper thigh that is red, a small circle, and ends with a small raised brown dot. (Zoomed-in) photos here. It does not itch at all, though somewhat hurts if I press into it or if it rubs up against clothing. It appeared overnight and I was in Manhattan, NY, when this occurred. I'm not really worried about it but mostly just curious!

Seattle vet recommendation for cats?

I recently moved to Ballard and need to find a vet for my three cats. While a nearby vet is obviously easiest, I'm willing to drive for the right practice. Do you have one that you love? [more inside]

Is it ok for a dog to have a cat toy (catnip)?

I didn't pay attention and mistakenly got a cat toy that contains a small amount of catnip as a gift for my friend's dog. Is there any reason why he can't keep it/play with it?

The commuter cat

I would love to get a cat. I live alone in a one-bedroom apt. The only thing stopping me is my partner lives 2 hours away, and I am often visiting him (sometimes for a weekend, sometimes for 1-2 weeks at a time) as my schedule right now with COVID is much more flexible than his (I can work remotely, he can't). We will probably be living together in 1.5 years. [more inside]

Have you surrendered a pet? Any advice for the process?

Not unlike many families, we have a pet and have had a child. They are not getting along and it seems the answer is to re-home the pet. Have you done this? Can you share any insight into this situation? [more inside]

This Cat Is Way Too Good at Hiding

I saw this guy and fell in love for obvious reasons. He's been here two weeks and still hiding very, very, well. I'm trying to be patient, but I don't know if he'll come around. What's left to try (list inside)? How long does one give a cat before saying it won't work out? [more inside]

How to restrain a cat for an enema?林心如小电影名字

Yep. Pretty straightforward. My friend (really) has to give her cat enemas on her own and the cat keeps escaping because she can't really figure out how to keep the butt free but the back legs contained, especially when it's just her trying to do both? Is there a handy gadget that will make this unpleasant task easier? Thanks!

Toys and coping processes for a dog that chews ALL THE THINGS

Help! We have a nearly 16 month old dog who is very focused on chewing things. We thought Lucy would grow out of it, but so far no luck, and we are starting to accept that this is just her personality. What would you recommend? Both chew toys, and also house arranging processes to make our lives a little more bearable? [more inside]

Should I get a cat?

Many loving yet lonely single souls have adopted pets during the pandemic. I am wondering if I should join them. But I live in a tiny place (300 square feet) that includes a roughly 100-sq-foot loft. Is that enough room for a cat? If a cat will feel imprisoned here, then I shouldn't get one. [more inside]

Ant farm?

My toddler would be fascinated by an ant farm like this cool gadget. Is there a way to have a small ant farm that's totally self-contained and fun for a toddler, and not horrible for the toddler's parent? I don't particularly like ants, but I do like science projects. [more inside]

Why does he do that?

Yeah yeah, why do cats do anything. My cat is displaying a particular behavior that is not causing any problems or anything, and gives me no reason to worry about the cat, but does make me curious. Have your cats behaved similarly? [more inside]

Minor behavior weirdness with new puppers

My sixish year old rescue Max is a very good doggo. He's got a lot of fast twitch energy but when he's indoors he's incredibly loving, cuddly, and sweet. But at odd times - usually if he's resting/laying down - if someone approaches him, he shows his teeth. [more inside]
